Gossip Girl is a series of U.S. television drama based on the series of books for teens of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. The series was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and CW launched in September 19, 2007. Reported by the “Gossip Girl” blogger omniscient yet unseen, voiced by Kristen Bell, the series revolves around the lives of young privileged Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York.
The series begins with the return of the Upper East Side “it” girl Serena van der Woodshed (Blake Lively) to stay in a mysterious boarding school in Cornwall, Connecticut. [1] Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), which the creators describe as the queen in the center of chess, a longtime friend and occasional rival, Serena is the queen bee and the social scene of Constance Billard School . The story also follows Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), the bad boy on the Upper East Side, “Golden Boy” Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Chuck’s best friend and former Blair, and other characters in the scene lively Manhattan: Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), a friend of Nate and Serena on-again, off-again ex, Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr), Dan’s best friend and the sister of Dan, Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen ).
On April 26, 2011, the CW Gossip Girl renewed for fifth season begins in fall 2011.
